Chris Lawson at Oldham Coliseum gave me my first job as a writer/performer after I graduated from ALRA North and I am so proud to be a part of their history.
I wrote Coal Girls initially with my friend Ashleigh Sinclair in response to The Pitmen Painters and I jumped at the opportunity to re-work the text and perform it in the studio alongside The Pitmen Painters in the main house and bring a bit of the North East to Oldham and loved working with Full Circle on their 15th Anniversary.
